FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of metallization of silicate glasses. Method of metallization of silicate glasses includes preliminary deposition of an intermediate layer on the front surface of the article, plasma spraying of a coating of metals or alloys. Intermediate layer is applied from a paste consisting of a mixture of liquid glass and nonmetallurgical alumina in a weight ratio of 1:3, respectively. Plasma sputtering of the metal is performed with a simultaneous reflow at a power of a plasmatron of 4–5 kW and a speed of passage of the plasma torch along the face surface of 0.24 m/s.

EFFECT: increasing the adhesion strength of the coating to the surface of silicate glasses.
