SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a medical technique, namely a blood pumping apparatus, comprising a body, a rotor that is an axial impeller with blades having root and free peripheral parts, and rectifying apparatus, which are located inside the stator winding of the electric motor. On the output part of the blades, the vortex cutters are formed, in the form of cut-outs or cut-outs, the width of which is from 10 to 70 % H, and the depth in the direction of the rotation axis of the rotor is from 1 to 150 % H, where H is the height of the output edge of the blade.

EFFECT: technical result consists in minimizing the hemolysis of blood elements in the axial pump, with the specified flow and pressure drop parameters.
