FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to activated carbon suitable for smoking articles and to filters containing such activated carbon and to associated smoking articles. Method of manufacturing a filter for a smoking article or a smoking article with a filter comprises obtaining an activated carbon material formed by a method that involves physically activating a composition comprising a cellulosic material and an added activated binder; obtaining a filter material for use in a smoking article, and combining the activated carbon material and the filter material to form a filter for the smoking article.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to reduce the level of dust and the penetration of activated carbon particles.
