FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to smoking articles having activated carbon filters. Smoking article comprises a smoking material and an activated carbon particle located downstream of the smoking material, wherein the activated carbon particle is obtained from the whole seed without mechanical damage, wherein the activated carbon particle has a length, width and height, wherein at least two values of length, width and height are independently in range of 1 mm to 7.5 mm.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is production of activated carbon for use in smoking articles, in which activated carbon is characterized by smaller breakthrough of particles during smoking, and simple method of producing activated carbon for use in smoking articles.
