SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to electromagnetic brakes interacting with a rail. Coil device for an electromagnetic rail brake for a rail vehicle comprises a winding wire having a first end and a second end. First end of the winding wire is formed in the form of a first coil connection to establish an electrically conductive butt joint with the first connecting cable. Second end of the coil wire is formed as a second coil connection to establish a conductive butt joint with the second connecting cable. First end of the winding wire and the second end of the winding wire are crossed relative to each other. Electromagnetic rail brake containing a coil device, and a method of mounting the connecting cables of a coil device for an electromagnetic rail brake is also provided.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the magnetizing force of the coil of an electromagnetic rail brake.
