FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of artillery armament and ammunition. Ionizing radiation sensor located in the projectile, while moving along the trunk, detects ionizing radiation pulses from two radiation sources installed in the muzzle device. Value of the time parameter between the two pulses is transferred to the projectile computing device to determine its muzzle velocity and to correct the trajectory.
EFFECT: simplification of measuring the muzzle velocity of the projectile.
