SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cut out piece of flavored sheet which comprises a non-volatile matrix and a flavor dispersed in a nonvolatile matrix, the cut piece has a hexagonal shape; ratio of the area of the cutting planes to the volume of the cut piece is 3.0 or less; length ratio of the long side to the length of the short side of the cut piece is 10 or less; said length of the long side being smaller than the diameter of the cigarette rod to be manufactured, said non-volatile matrix comprising gellan gum and tamarind gum.

EFFECT: technical result is the preservation of a piece of flavored leaf in its entirety after mixing with tobacco and grinding.
