FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cigarette aroma carrying component and to cigarette containing it. Aroma carrying cigarette component is obtained by application of aromatic composition in the state of sol onto surface of cigarette component, aromatic composition includes flavouring agent, water and polysaccharide, selected from group consisting of carrageenan, gellan gum and combination of gellan gum and tamarind gum; then cooling of containing aromatic composition cigarette component till the temperature from 0 to 40°C to cause jellying of aromatic composition; and then drying of containing aromatic composition component cigarette during heating.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of aroma carrying component of cigarette, which has high stability of aroma and which enables to obtain uniform distribution of flavouring agent in cigarette during its introduction into cigarette.
