FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to drilling holes using a fluid jet. In the method of drilling one or more holes in the front wall section of a workpiece using a cutting fluid jet, a mixture of abrasive material is optionally added. In the drilling direction, the front wall section is located in front of the rear wall section of the workpiece, which is located with an intermediate space at a distance from the front wall section, the hole is drilled at least partially with a cutting jet which collides with the front wall section in a pulsed mode. Cutting jet is generated by the repeated interruption of the collision of liquid and/or abrasive material with the front wall section. Design of a cutting installation for the implementation of the processing method is given.
EFFECT: cost-effective drilling of high quality holes.
