FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tobacco industry. Induction heating unit for generating an aerosol from an aerosol precursor in the aerosol supply system comprises a susceptor and a drive coil configured to induce current flow in the susceptor to heat and vaporize the aerosol precursor in the immediate vicinity of the susceptor surface. Susceptor comprises areas (331, 332) with different susceptibilities to the induced flux of current from the drive coil. When the susceptor is used, its areas with different susceptibilities are heated to different temperatures by the current flow induced by the drive coil.
EFFECT: reduced cost of electronic tobacco products.
