FIELD: monitoring and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, in particular to the field of diagnostics of the stress-strain state of elastic objects, in particular, rail tracks of a continuous path. When the method is implemented, a finite element model of the elastic object is created, the forms and frequencies of the natural oscillations of the finite element model of the elastic object are determined for various stress-strain states, the natural frequencies of the oscillations of the elastic object under study are measured irrespective of the direction and method of their excitation, the identical vibration patterns of the finite element model of the elastic object and the elastic object under study are determined, frequencies of the corresponding vibration modes are compared, on the basis of comparison, conclusion is drawn about the stress-strain state of the elastic object under study.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of determining the loading of elastic objects, as well as simplifying the method of recording and analyzing the forms of natural oscillations.
