FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building. Buffer or buffer capsule contains the first elongated hollow buffer element, inside which the second elongated buffer element is installed with possibility of movement. First and the second buffer elements overlap on parts of their length and form an internal cavity. End of at least the first buffer element extends outward for engagement with the corresponding one more element. First and second buffer elements are configured to move between a first, extended or normal configuration and a second, compressed configuration. At more robust compression of buffer than compression with threshold level of energy, the second buffer element activates non-recoverable damper, which is part of buffer or capsule, wherein one or more plastically deformable elements of the buffer are deformed. Non-recoverable damper is located between buffer ends at least in area activated by second buffer element. Non-recoverable damper is located outside the second buffer element.
EFFECT: enabling the buffer to perform functions of both a common buffer and a non-recoverable damper implemented in one common compact device.
