SUBSTANCE: invention relates to network communication technologies. Terminal for receiving or transmitting data comprises: a receiver, which, in use, receives downlink control information and downlink data; a circuit which, in use, determines, based on the downlink control information and offset, an uplink control channel resource used for transmitting a response signal for the downlink data; and a transmitter, which, during use, transmits a response signal using a specific uplink control channel resource, wherein: the first offset is used as an offset when the terminal is made in a coverage enhancement mode in which the response signal is allowed to be transmitted N times, spanning multiple subframes many times, where N is a positive integer, and the first offset is made for each positive integer value N; and the first offset is different from the second offset, which is used when the terminal is not executed in a coverage enhancement mode.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and efficiency of the network.
