FIELD: recycling and disposal of waste.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the disposal and processing of waste and is intended for the purification of wood waste from impregnating compounds. Wood waste is ground to a chip level of less than 5 mm, at least one axis. Chips are blown with steam for warm-up and injected with organic solvent vapors capable of forming azeotropes with water. Solution of the impregnating composition in the organic solvent is collected and sent for processing. Chips are blown with water vapor at a temperature of 115–120 °C until the organic solvent is completely removed.
EFFECT: wood waste becomes environmentally safe and suitable for further use in industry.
