SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the age related infant feeding system. In particular, the invention relates to a number of infant formulas for providing an infant with an age-appropriate nutrition system, containing the first infant formula, a second infant formula and an optional third infant formula; where: (a) said first infant formula is formulated to meet the infant's nutritional needs from birth to two months; (b) said second infant formula is formulated to meet the infant's nutritional needs from two months to six months; and (c) said optional third infant formula is formulated to meet the infant's nutritional needs from six months to twelve months. Each of these first, second and third infant formulas contains suitable amounts of mineral nutrients, which are selected from the group consisting of calcium, iodine, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, copper and zinc. In this case, the content of at least one of said mineral nutrients in the second infant formula is lower, than in the first infant formula, and the content of said at least one mineral nutrient in the optional third infant formula is lower than in the second infant formula. And the ratio of calcium and phosphorus in the first infant formula is lower than in the second infant formula.
