SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a non-pathogenic strain of E. coli and its use. Disclosed is an isolated living strain of E. coli for the prevention of intestinal infection caused by F18 pathogenic E. coli in pigs, deposited at the International Depositary Authority of Canada (IDAC) on June 20, 2013 and attributed accession number 200613-01. Said strain can be used to prepare a composition for preventing intestinal infection caused by F18 pathogenic E. coli in a pig, as well as in a method for preventing said infection.

EFFECT: group of inventions can be effectively used to prevent intestinal infection caused by F18 pathogenic Escherichia coli in a pig.
