FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: declared invention refers to veterinary science and represents a composition for preventing and/or treating pathogenic infection and/or diarrhoea in an animal, where a pathogenic infection is caused by a pathogen capable of binding to an intestinal cell of an animal, wherein said pathogen binding depends on the presence of a pathogen binding portion containing at least one glycan structure, substituted with at least one alpha-1,2-L-fucose moiety, containing an effective amount of alpha-L-fucosidase family of glycoside hydrolase 95 (GH95) capable of removing at least one alpha-1,2-L-fucose fragment from the pathogen binding site, and an acceptable carrier.
EFFECT: use of the declared composition is highly effective for treating intestinal infections and/or diarrhoea in animals.
