FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to earth-moving machinery, namely to single-bucket cyclic-action quarry excavators. Excavator bucket tooth is made all-cast and contains a wedge-shaped working part, a massive transition part and a tail part with a socket open at the rear and covering the landing portion of the bucket front wall. Working part is formed by the convex upper and concave lower curvilinear faces formed by the conjugate cylindrical surfaces, is provided with longitudinal ribs on the back face and has a rounded cutting edge, displaced downward relative to the longitudinal axis of the tooth, and the tail part is provided with longitudinal ribs from above and below. Width of the working and transitional parts of the tooth is greater by 40 mm than the width of the tail part, the radius of the cylindrical surface forming the concave lower face of the working part is adopted equal to R1=1,000 mm for teeth 1,250–1,510 mm long, radii of cylindrical surfaces forming a convex front face – in the proportion R2=(2.5–3.0)⋅R1, and those forming ribs on the back edge of the working part – R3=(1.25–1.35)⋅R1. In the transitional part of the tooth, an internal cavity is made, which is open at the rear and shifted upward by 20–25 mm relative to the longitudinal axis of the tooth. Thickness of the cross section of the transitional part of the tooth from the side of the front face is somewhat larger than from the side of the rear face, and the upper ribs on the tail of the tooth are made of variable width with an increase in the direction of the transition part.

EFFECT: increase in wear resistance and service life, reduction of the likelihood of sudden breakages and improvement of the processability in casting and heat treatment.
