SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coated article, to a method for producing a coated article, and to an ink composition suitable for use in a method for producing a coated article. Coated article comprises a base layer, a coating layer comprising a resin composition, and an attenuation layer, containing at least one reducing agent capable of at least partially discoloring the resin composition. In this case, said coating layer is in contact with said attenuation layer.
EFFECT: effective improvement of the aesthetic properties of resin impregnated papers is provided.
