FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental construction and is intended to intercept contaminated groundwater from waste ponds (gathering ponds, sludge and slag storage facilities, livestock breeding complexes), oil storage facilities and other harmful objects, arranged without impervious screens. Method of creating impervious curtains on waste accumulators includes the development and filling of the main trench with impervious material in the form of rigid impervious elements – polymer sheets in the amount of three, which are placed in the curtain through equal distances. o eliminate the formation of backwater and raise the level of groundwater in front of the curtain, in the polymer impervious elements perforation is performed in the form of filtration holes of various diameters, made in the lower and upper parts of the polymer impervious elements. Free space between the installed rigid impervious polymeric elements is filled with glauconitic sand, and from the entrance and exit of the water flow – with gravel. For the main impervious curtain perform additional filter curtain, with a filter element placed in it in the form of geotextile mats consisting of two strongly filtering layers of geotextile and an adsorbent material located between them. In addition, for an additional filtering curtain, a hydro-observation well is arranged, made to the depth of the curtain. Advantage of this invention is the elimination of backwater and lowering of the level of groundwater in front of the curtain the absence of flooding and waterlogging.

EFFECT: device of the main impervious and additional filter curtains allows for complex purification of polluted water flow, due to the elongation of the filtration path and its mechanical cleaning, as well as due to the filter element made of geotextile mats filled with adsorption material.
