FIELD: identification systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a product identification system when a customer buys a product at a self-service store. Said system includes an interconnected scanning device, a device for collecting items, a camera, at least one self-service payment terminal and a server, and each means for collecting goods is assigned an individual identification number. Said scanning device is designed to read the specified number of means for collecting items, scanning barcodes of items and forming a list of selected products and the final barcode. Said camera is installed on the means for collecting items and is configured to read the visual image of the items and track their movement after scanning the barcode, and the payment terminal is made with the possibility of feedback from the server, while the specified server is configured to receive and analyze information from the specified camera and payment terminal. Buyers activate the application on the scanning device, select the means for collecting the items, scan the specified number by means of the scanning device, scan the bar codes of the selected items, thus forming a shopping list, arrange the specified items in the device for collecting items, then send the total barcode generated by the scanning device to the reader of the self-service payment terminal, pay for the purchase, receive a receipt.

EFFECT: technical result consists in wider range of tools for the same purpose.
