FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas turbines. Emergency start device for helicopter turbine engine (6) includes hydraulic engine (7) mechanically connected to said turbine engine (6) and hydropneumatic storage device (9) connected to said hydraulic engine (7) via hydraulic system (10) for supplying pressurized liquid to said hydraulic engine (7). Controlled quick-opening hydraulic valve (11) arranged on hydraulic system (10), between storage device (9) and hydraulic engine (7) and suitable for being placed, on command, in an open position, wherein the liquid can be supplied to hydraulic engine (7), or in a closed position, wherein hydraulic engine (7) is no longer supplied with pressurized liquid.
EFFECT: protection of the emergency start device and gas turbine engine when the predetermined threshold of fluid pressure in the hydraulic system is exceeded.
