FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: lifting mechanism with electric drive braking device controlling method can be used in the lifting mechanisms with an electric drive braking devices diagnosing. Pre-identifying the time intervals corresponding to the lifting mechanism and the braking device steady state operation modes, and setting the time limits for the consumed active power measuring within the said intervals. Power measurement, directly at the specified time intervals, is carried out using the time delay relay. Determining the difference between the lifting mechanism electric motor consumed active power averaged values in the serviceable braking device closed and open states. This difference is taken as the reference value and is entered into the digital computing unit. Similarly, as for the serviceable braking device, determining the difference between the lifting mechanism electric motor consumed active power averaged values in the controlled brake device. Controlled braking device is considered to be serviceable with the equal reference and compared values.
EFFECT: method provides accurate diagnostics of the serviceable condition of the braking device in the lifting mechanism by elimination of the active power measurement in transition periods and thereby obtaining reliable information about the electric motor consumed active power during the lifting mechanism operation.
