FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a static device for devolatilising a viscous liquid, a devolatilising method , as well as the use of said device for implementing this method. Static device comprises a container for receiving a first degassed viscous liquid, a discharge pump, an extraction line for discharging gas from the container and a phase separation chamber. Container has a lower region for receiving a second degassed liquid, an upper region for gas discharge and a central region. In the central region of the container there is a distributor sub-unit. Method for devolatilising a viscous liquid comprises a first step in which a viscous liquid is treated in a phase separation chamber to form a first degassed viscous liquid and a second step in which the first degassed viscous liquid is treated in a distributor sub-unit to form a second degassed viscous liquid.

EFFECT: providing more efficient devolatilisation of a viscous liquid within a given time for a set concentration of the volatile component in the product.
