SUBSTANCE: cover device (5) for a drink container comprises basic assembly (9) which is provided with drink opening (32), and valve arrangement (20) for blocking or unblocking a passage to drink opening (32) from a drink container side of cover device (5). Valve arrangement (20) comprises valve element (26) having two portions (27, 28) which are connected to each other through an area of valve element (26) at a position, where valve element (26) is hingably associated with basic assembly (9), valve element (26) has slit (42), and valve element (26) and/or the connecting member (37) is shaped in such a way that the tighter valve element (26) is pushed onto connecting member (37), the more firmly slit (42) is closed.
EFFECT: object of the present invention to further improve the leak resistance of the cover device for a drink container.
