FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and a method for separating liquid from solid particles and can be used to dry solid particles and extract precious metals from ore in a leaching process. Device includes a tank for solid particles and liquid in the form of a slurry, an inlet into the interior of the tank for feeding solid particles and liquids, a fluid outlet, a stirrer suspended inside the tank, a filter extending upwards through the filter layer area. Method for separating liquid from solid particles includes steps of feeding solid particles and liquid into the tank, mixing the solid particles and the liquid to form a slurry, forming a filter layer, moving the liquid through the filter layer, draining the liquid from solid particles and removing the solid particles.
EFFECT: effective separation of liquid from solid particles is provided.
