FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in antenna technology, in particular in the design of phased antenna arrays (PAAs) used in radar stations with electric scanning. PAA includes a housing with modules fixed in it that combine the elements of the PAA, each of which is connected to a beam control system (BCS). According to the invention, parallel to the aperture plane of the PAR, a conductive screen (CS) is installed, whose position is selected from a range (0.2…0.4)⋅λ0 below the plane, the waveguides of the elements of the PAA, providing minimal reflection of the incident radio wave from the opening of the PAA, are revealed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in matching the lattice aperture with free space, eliminating the effect of leakage of the incident radio wave in the inter-element space of the PAA, and ensuring structural rigidity and resistance of the PAA fabric to shock and vibration effects.
