SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling rigs for production and exploratory drilling of oil and gas wells. Open-faced foldable drilling rig includes two legs, connected to the headband with the possibility of limited rotation relative to it, rigid inserts connecting the legs behind the tower. Legs consist of articulated joints, with the base and with the cap of the sections. Cross section of leg sections in the plan is L-shaped and consists of two mutually perpendicular trusses, while in a shifted position the tower has a U-shaped shape. U-shaped shifted sections of the tower can be transported both separately and form a single transport unit. Total cross-sectional area of the rear longitudinal beams of the sections can be equal to the cross-sectional area of the front beam.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the load capacity and installation capacity.
