FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device for relieving excess pressure of the reverse action and to a method for reducing the internal rupture pressure of the claimed device. Said device comprises: a central curved section having opposite concave and convex sides; and an outer flange section disposed around the periphery of said central curved section. One of the concave and convex sides of the central curved section contains two pocket zones. Said two pocket zones are separated by a band zone having a material thickness greater than the thickness of the material of the two pocket zones. Said belt zone comprises a narrowing segment in which the concavity of said central curved section begins to reverse after the said device is placed in a predetermined excess pressure condition. Said constriction segment is formed in part by means of the respective pocket segments of the pocket zones, the narrowing segment having a width that is smaller than the combined width of the pocket segments.

EFFECT: technical result is the simplification of manufacturing and installation, as well as the achievement of a lower pressure range.
