SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication endpoint management. In the method, a trigger is obtained for dynamically modifying the serving site of the communication endpoint, wherein the communication endpoint is registered to receive the digital communication service from the first serving site. Further, a stored serving-site selection policy applicable to the communication endpoint is determined. And a second serving site for the communication endpoint is selected based, at least in part, on the stored serving-site selection policy. And the endpoint-configuration requirements of the second serving site are determined. Then, the endpoint configurations that satisfy the endpoint-configuration requirements of the second serving site are generated. Further, the generated endpoint configurations to the communication endpoint are written. Registration of the endpoint of communication of receiving the digital communication service from the second serving site instead of the first serving site is initiated.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the speed of recovery of the endpoints.
