FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a mixture of compounds suitable for cleaning hard surfaces or fibers of general formula (I): (I), where R1 means -(CH2)nCH(CH3)2, R2 means -(CH2)n+2CH(CH3)2, G1 is selected from monosaccharides containing from 4 to 6 carbon atoms, x is average values in the range of 1.1 to 4, n is an integer from 0 to 3, the mixture optionally further comprising a compound of formula (III) and a compound of formula (IV) (III), (IV), where R4 is -CH2-CH(CH3)(CH2)n+1CH3, R5 means -(CH2)n+1CH3, R6 means -(CH2)n+3CH3.
EFFECT: effective to clean hard surfaces and fibers of the mixture and an effective method for their preparation, comprising reacting an alcohol of formula (II) (II), where R1 means -(CH2)nCH(CH3)2, R2 means -(CH2)n+2CH(CH3)2, is an integer from 0 to 3, with a monosaccharide, disaccharide or polysaccharide containing the group G1, in the presence of a catalyst.
