SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a hopper and a mobile device with such a hopper that can be used for processing bulk materials. In the method, the folding hopper comprises a sidewall pivotally mounted on the support frame by a first hinge attachment, a first mechanically driven mechanism, an end wall hingedly mounted on the support frame by a second hinge attachment and extending perpendicularly or across the side wall, a second mechanically driven mechanism. Also the hopper comprises first and second mechanical locking connections located respectively on the side and end walls with the possibility of preventing, when the lateral and end wall rotation is blocked, from the raised second position to the lowered first position. In this case, the first or second mechanically driven mechanism comprises a third actuator with a mechanical drive configured to allow the lateral and end walls to be progressively moved up and down in such a way that blocking and unlocking of the first and second locking joints includes a swivel and translational movement of the side and end walls. Further, the mobile device comprises a main frame, a processing unit, caterpillars or wheels that enable the device to move over the ground, and the above-described folding hopper.
EFFECT: in the hopper, unintentional lowering of the walls is prevented due to wear or breakage of the composite elements.
