FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: locking device (100) for an electrical distribution panel comprises: a base (1) configured to be positioned on a support surface (101) within a distribution panel. The base (1) is configured to support a current switching device (102) movable between a connected position in which the current switching device (102) is electrically connected to the coupled electrical circuit (104) and a disconnected position in which the current switching device (102) is electrically separated from the corresponding electrical circuit (104). The frame (10) has at least an area that rises transversely from the base (1) and limits a through hole (11). The movable locker (20) is operatively connected to the base (1) and the frame (10). The drive mechanism (30) is configured to move the locker (20) between the first position, in which the locker (20) closes at least partially the through hole (11), preventing the current switching device (102) from being electrically connected to the electrical circuit (104), and the second position, in which the locker (20) is retracted and leaves a through hole (11) at least partially open to connect the current switching device (102) with the mentioned electrical circuit (104) by electrical means.
