FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, specifically to a method for producing an insulinotropic peptide derivative with a modified N-terminal charge, and can be used in medicine. In accordance with the present invention, the modification of the N-terminal positive charge of an insulinotropic peptide to a neutral or net negative charge at neutral pH can increase the value of its dissociation constant and also improve its biological function.
EFFECT: insulinotropic peptide derivative according to the present invention rapidly dissociates from the GLP-1 receptor and exhibits a higher insulinotropic ability and activity to reduce blood glucose levels compared to native insulinotropic peptide while maintaining its stability in the blood.
