SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of checking the properties of an object. Method for checking the properties of an object made in the form of a wire, a pipe or a reinforcing bar, in a base made in the form of a ceiling, wall or floor, with the help of the equipment contains a detector device, a location device and a control device, and: in a first step, selecting a first object with at least one object to be checked (A1) and the first given coordinates (Eo1, Eu1); in the second stage, using the locating device, the current position is determined (Pakt) of the detector device in space; in the third stage by the control device, based on the current position (Pakt) of the detector device, the current detection field is determined; in the fourth stage, the control device compares the first given coordinates (Eo1, Eu1) with the current detection field of the detector device.

EFFECT: technical result consists in developing a method for checking the properties of an object in the basis.
