FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, and in particular to the construction of sealed cable products with plastic insulation and technology for the production of a multi-wire conductive core. A method for manufacturing a sealed conductive core is that the conductive core is formed from metal wires in a spiral configuration in contact with each other. One metal wire is made with a pre-coated polymeric thermoplastic material, and the rest are uncoated. The conductive core is formed with an upper layer of uncoated wires. A sealing general coating of a polymeric thermoplastic material or insulation is applied by extrusion under pressure over the top layer of uncoated wires, while the conductive core is preheated to a temperature of 100 to 160°C.

EFFECT: invention provides longitudinal sealing of the core.
