FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: self-supporting insulated wire with a fiber optic communication cable is made in two versions: with a fiber-optic communication cable, comprises a central tube with optical fibers in an amount of up to 48, the tube is made from stainless steel with a hydrophobic filler. Around the tube layers of current-conducting wires are arranged, which are made with linear contact of current-conducting wires with each other, with equal pitch of laying of layers, external surfaces of current-conducting wires are plastically deformed with reduction degree of 1.5–4.0 % of wire cross-section area. Number of layers of current-conducting wire changes from one to three, at that the number of current-conducting wires in wire can vary from 6 to 36. All conductive wires of wire are made of aluminum. Outer current-conducting wires of the wire are coated with polymer thermoplastic coating 4 operating in the temperature range from -80 °C to +250 °C, and when the first layer of seven copper wires of the same diameter is made around the tube, the second layer with alternation of seven copper wires of the same diameter and seven copper wires of the other diameter and the third layer of fourteen copper wires. At that, all three layers of wires are made with the same pitch of laying, in one direction and with linear contact of wires of the first, second and third layers of wires. Outer surfaces of wires are plastically deformed with reduction ratio of 1.5–4.0 % of wire cross-section area. Third layer of the wire is coated with a polymer thermoplastic coating operating in the temperature range from -80 °C to +250 °C.
EFFECT: invention provides design of a self-supporting insulated wire with a fiber-optic communication cable while preserving operability of the optical cable during a long service life.
