SUBSTANCE: beverage preparation device comprising brewing chamber 3 moved by driving means 5, 6 in a direction along a vertical path, first piston 7 and second piston 9 that can move within said brewing chamber 3, feed hopper 25 for feeding ground coffee powder to the brewing chamber and discharge device 21 for discharging the spent coffee cake, in which hopper 25 is pivotally mounted on the device to obtain a desired distribution of the ground coffee powder in the brewing chamber.
EFFECT: brewing apparatus designed to prepare beverages using a pressure higher than ambient pressure, using a diluent, preferably water, and an edible substance, preferably a pulverent, organic substance such as coffee.
