SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. Method includes: performing processing with bitwise display on the first part of the bits of the first group of information bits to form a first modulation symbol; determining a first precoding matrix of several preset precoding matrices in accordance with the second part of the bits of the first group of information bits; performing pre-coding processing on the first modulation symbol in accordance with the first precoding matrix to obtain a first modulation matrix of symbols and transmitting the first modulation matrix of symbols to a receiving device. In accordance with the data transmission method, one part of the bits of the group of information bits is mapped to modulation symbols, another part of the bits is used to determine a precoding matrix, and pre-coding processing is performed on the modulation symbols in accordance with the precoding matrix to obtain a matrix of modulation symbols.
EFFECT: higher transmission reliability with spatial modulation.
