FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the measuring equipment, and can be used for the gas flow structure and parameters studying, mainly for the gas flow velocity profile rapid determination. Essence of the invention consists in the fact, that the gas flow velocity spatial distribution determining device further comprises an electronic computer, including in-series connected the average flow rate |(dV/dT)| first derivative modulus determining unit, average flow rate first derivative modulus comparison unit with its predetermined limit value (dV/dT)set, speed sensor coordinates files generation unit with reduced movement step size ΔS' (ΔS'<ΔS) in case, if the average flow velocity first derivative |dV/dT| modulus will exceed the (dV/dT)set.

EFFECT: increase in the gas flow velocity measuring accuracy, reliability, automation and information content.
