FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for accurate measurement of small linear velocities of object displacement, as well as for evaluation of speed deviation from preset value. Proposed method of linear velocity measurement and control of its non-uniformity involves three stages: 1) setting the required constant speed of the object along the straight line, measuring the coordinates of the object at equal time intervals specified by the microcontroller, calculating values of instantaneous speed Vi for each specified time interval, averaging obtained values of instantaneous speeds Vi, using method of sliding window, wherein the value of the window is selected experimentally, obtaining the averaged values of the instantaneous velocities Vi(t) and using these values Vi(t), calculating the velocity deviation on the required sections of the object movement path to estimate the non-uniformity of the measured linear velocity; 2) by means of Fourier transformation obtaining frequency spectrum of changes of instantaneous speed Vi and analyzing it, then possible elimination of sources and causes of occurrence of non-uniformity of measured linear velocity; 3) repeating the actions performed at the first step, and additionally comparing the newly calculated speed deviation value with the previous one, if necessary repeating the second and third stages.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables to measure the object linear velocity and determine the degree of its non-uniformity.
