FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy. To reduce losses in iron, the sheet from the non-oriented electrical steel production is performed by the hot rolling of a slab containing, in wt. %: C not more than 0.005, Si 1.5–6.0, Mn 0.05–2.0 and P 0.03–0.15, if necessary, by the hot-rolled sheet annealing in the hot conditions zone, if necessary, by the cold rolling, final annealing and the insulating coating formation, at that, cooling down from 700 to 500 °C during the final annealing is carried out in the oxidizing atmosphere with the oxygen potential PH2O/PH2 of not less than 0.001 for 1–300 s, as a result, after final annealing, P is segregated on the steel sheet surface ensuring increase in crystal grain and stresses relief.
EFFECT: from the steel sheet, high strength rotor core material and having low losses in iron stator core material are produced; steel sheet also has high strength after final annealing and a low level of losses in iron, for which reason it can preferably be used in the engine core.
