SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport engineering and can be used to improve the performance of an amphibious vehicle. Amphibian car contains body (1) with a gliding surface and land and water-driven drives housed therein, as well as retractable wheel suspensions (4, 5) of the first and second axles. Amphibian car is equipped with hinged hydrodynamic shield (6) hinged in the bow of body (1), as well as the compressor and associated folding air tanks (7, 8), which have a disassembled shape and position, providing shielding of the wheel arches.

EFFECT: improvement of operational properties, namely reduction of resistance to water movement, an increase in the total area of the hydrodynamic interaction of the hull with the water surface and the general displacement of the amphibious vehicle, and also its increased survivability.
