SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means of individual protection of the organs of respiration and vision (RPE) of a person from vapors and gases of various chemical nature, in particular to devices and methods for calculating the parameters of operating while wearing RPE. This technical solution allows determining the following parameters with almost no time loss: Rmax.drop – the value of the maximum pressure drop during the movements of the gas and smoke protection service unit; Rout – the pressure at which the gas and smoke protection service unit needs to leave the environment unsuitable for breathing, if the fire center (place of operations) is not located; ΔT is the time interval from the moment the RPE is turned on until the command is sent to the gas and smoke protection service unit personnel to leave the environment unsuitable for breathing, if the fire is not located; Tout – the time for the command to be sent to the gas and smoke protection service unit personnel to leave the environment unsuitable for breathing, if the center of the fire is not located; Tgeneral – total operating time of the gas and smoke protection service unit personnel in the environment unsuitable for breathing; Treturn – the time that expectedly takes the gas and smoke protection service unit personnel to leave the environment unsuitable for breathing; Rc.out – the reference pressure at which the gas and smoke protection service unit personnel must leave the environment unsuitable for breathing; Top – the operating time of the gas and smoke protection service unit at the fire center; Tc.out – the control time of giving the command to the gas and smoke protection service unit personnel to leave the environment unsuitable for breathing.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to improve the reliability, accuracy and performance of the device by reducing the time and reducing the complexity of the calculations.
