FIELD: fire extinguishing compositions.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-extinguishing compositions and can be used both for extinguishing and for localization of fires in open air, or in warehouses. Mainly for extinguishing class A fires. Fire extinguishing system contains two containers with components of aqueous solutions for producing two-component foam, which are under pressure. Each container is connected by separate flexible pipeline with components mixing device. Control panel is connected to the corresponding shutoff valve at the outlet of each container. First container contains component A, wt.%: thickener 0.1–2.52, aqueous solution of silicate 30–60, foaming agent 2.25–4.2, water 67.65–33.28. Second container contains component B, wt.%: thickener 0.68–2.5, curing activator in form of nitrogen-phosphorus compound 6–20, foaming agent 5.6–4.65, water 87.72–72.85. When initial volumes are equal, when mixing solutions of components A and B to obtain a two-component foam, components are simultaneously supplied from both containers, through a corresponding flexible pipeline, to a device for mixing components A and B. Mixing device contains two inlet channels for supply of components A and B. Outlets of the inlet channels are connected to a confluence chamber with a cylindrical tip at the outlet, on which there is a device for controlled air suction made in the form of a washer connected with the possibility of rotation to the cylindrical part. Washer and cylindrical part are equipped with holes with diameter of 4 mm at angle of 45° in direction of flow and are arranged in two rows along circumference of cylindrical part and washer. Controlled air suction device passes into the cylindrical mixing chamber. It is connected to the inlet conical part of the chamber for preliminary formation of the gel composition, which changes into the outlet cylindrical part with film-forming grids at the outlet.
EFFECT: high reliability and efficiency of the system makes it possible to extinguish a fire in a minimum time due to the design of a foam generator with a specially made composition having a wide range of viscosity increase rate in the initial state, as well as having a wide range of rate of increase in viscosity of the fire-extinguishing composition in fire conditions, safety and environmental friendliness.
