Method of firing a guided artillery projectile includes target detection through a sight with a built-in calculator of its own coordinates and target coordinates, a Glonass / GPS module, a target range meter, an azimuth meter and a target elevation meter. In this case, the transfer of coordinates of the target from the sight to the projectile is carried out via a wired or electromagnetic communication interface. Projectile contains the controller of the calculator, the built-in determinant of its own coordinates with the Glonass / GPS module and the trajectory corrector controlling the steering or braking elements of the projectile according to the coordinates of the target entered from the sight calculator via the communication interface, moreover, the controller of the calculator of the projectile also forms a command for undermining the projectile according to the measured distance in the absence of signals from the Glonass / GPS module.

EFFECT: reducing the complexity of technical performance and eliminating the presence of radio communication in the interfaces for transmitting the coordinates of the target, ensuring passive mode of operation throughout the projectile flight path.
