FIELD: cooling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a replaceable plug-in cooling element for a stove cooler of a blast furnace shell. Replaceable plug-in cooling element comprises two or more components that can be inserted outside the furnace into through holes and into the primary cooling element so that the cooling elements protrude beyond the inner surface of the primary cooling element. Inner one of the components of the replaceable cooling element may be inserted into the outer one of the components in such a way as to cause the outer component to form a thermally conductive joint with the primary cooling element. Also disclosed are a method for repairing a damaged main cooling element of a stove cooler of a blast furnace shell and a method for repairing a prefabricated wall of a blast furnace shell containing a stove cooler and an outer steel plate.

EFFECT: maintaining efficient cooling of the furnace wall is ensured when a separate cooling element is damaged and the flow of the cooling medium to one cooling element of the furnace is interrupted.
