FIELD: agriculture; engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a self-propelled harvester. Self-propelled harvester having a front harvesting attachment has two drive shafts of traction mechanisms that are offset in their longitudinal direction relative to the harvesting header. Drive shafts are kinematically connected on both sides with the harvesting machine extending in the longitudinal direction of caterpillar tracks. Rear axle with rear wheels is provided in the rear area of the harvester. Steering device enables to change the movement of steering control transmitted to the rear wheels. Each drive shaft is configured to be driven by a separate hydrostatic transmission motor. Each of the hydraulic motors is configured to drive the corresponding drive shaft through two gear stages of a switchable mechanical gear mechanism.
EFFECT: improved controllability of the harvesting attachment when moving along a curved path or when the harvester is turning.
