SUBSTANCE: balancing device and a corresponding method and balancing screw, for the rotating part of a gas turbine engine. Balancing device comprises a shroud in which a plurality of holes is made, through each of which a balancing screw extends, having a shaft and a head in which a recess is made. Balancing screws are at least the screws of the first and second type. Recess of the balancing screws of the first type consists of a slot and an additional recess, and the slot has a bottom in which an additional recess is made. Recess of screws of the first type has a depth p1, the recess of screws of the second type has a depth p2, where p2 is strictly less than p1. Balancing screws of the second type and the first type are distributed radially around the shroud in such a way as to balance the rotating part.
EFFECT: simplified balancing of small engines.
