SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology through visible light. Transmitting device for controlling optical communication by means of LED headlights of a vehicle contains a CPU processor and a voltage conversion circuit, the CPU processor communicates with the vehicle LIN/CAN bus through the interface circuit and in communication with the voltage conversion circuit; voltage conversion circuit is located in the control connection with the vehicle LED-headlight via a high-frequency semiconductor switch; LED headlight of the vehicle is equipped with a direct voltage measurement circuit connected to a CPU. Method of controlling the LED headlight of a vehicle for optical communication can dynamically adjust the electrical level and frequency of the current waveform of the communication data.

EFFECT: technical result consists in eliminating the influence on the light output characteristics and energy saving of the communication function provided.
